CYCI#72 A Sketch Challenge ~ Love Life

Hi there...thanks for stopping by to check out my card for this week's CYCI#72 Sketch Challenge...
I pulled out on of my newest Stampin' Up! sets A Happy Thing from the Sale-A-Bration catalouge.
I love this little birdie...he seems to be my favorite these days...I used SU! Whisper White for the base of the card...I have always loved rounding out the corner of my cards but these days I have been just punching out two...I like the way it looks...The patterned paper that I chose is by Crate Paper ~ Poolside ~ Summer Time...I love the colors which I felt would work perfectly with SU! Lost Lagoon ink and it did...I used SU! oval die cuts for the bird and Lil' Inkers designs Stitched Flag Sentiment die (I recently got it and love the stitch...I think it gives a little extra something) For the sentiment I used SU! Flag die cut and stamped the sentiment in Hello Honey...another new favorite color for me...I added a little bit of yellow chevron ribbon I ordered from Paper Issues and used SU! Linen Thread to tie the ribbon...I really like how this card came together...my original thought was completely different from what I ended up with and I am quite happy with it!
Thanks for stopping by and seeing my CAS card

Growing in Unity Blog Hop {Bunches of Love} Sentiment Kit

Hi there...welcome to this month's Growing in Unity Blog Hop...I am super excited to be part of it and share my CAS creations with you. The kit that I am using in Bunches of {love} sentiment kit from February 2014. I really love this kit because it can be used for so many different ocassions. I have recently purchased Quickutz Treat Bag die and love making 3x3 cards to put inside as a cute gift bag for friends and family. For the bag and the larger circle punch I used American Crafts Grey Floral Shimelle True Stories paper. The 3x3 cards I used Stampin' Up! White Whisper and their ink to punch the sentiments. I used Stampin' Up! Real Red, Night of Navy, Sahara Sand, and, Hello Honey . I also used their 2 1/2 and 2 inch circle punches. For the flag banner I used Lil' Inkers Stitched Sentimental Flag Die. I had a lot of fun making this project. Make sure to leave a comment on each blog  for a chance to win a stamp kit. Two lucky winners will win Frankly Said Sentiment Kit. Winners will posted June 3rd on the GIU blog post.
Thanks for Stopping By

It's 5 O'Clock...

Wanted to share some wine tags that I have made recently...The wine tag die that I used is from Jaded Blossom...This is definitely the tip of the iceberg with this die! This base of each wine tag is Stampin' Up! Crumb Cake...even though I still tell my demo I refused to call it that...it will always be "Kraft" to me!
The stamp I used here is from Whipper Snappers design...Paper is by Bella Blvd...Sunday Brunch

I used Paper Smooches Alpha Dots for this tag...the paper is from October Afternoon...have had it for years...you never know when you will need it! I got this idea from Pinterest...

This stamp is from Unity Stamps...love their stamps!

This stamp is by Deadbeat Stamps...I love their stamps! Every year when I visit my parents in Albuquerque I make my pilgrimage to Guadalupe's Fun Stamps in Santa Fe...they have the best stamps around

This last one I used my favorite Stampin' Up! sentiment kits...Good Greetings...the die cut if from Lil' Inkers...I love the fact you could stick a gift card in it! It is their Folding Tag Die Original...

OSAT Blog Hop - Monochromatic

http://osatbloghoppers.blogspot.com/

Hi there...thanks for stopping by my blog for this month's OSAT Blog Hop...this month is monochromatic theme...I have to admit I have never done monochromatic and was a bit challenged by this...I was stumped for awhile but then these two Stampin' Up! sets came to mind...One Tag Fits All and See Ya Later...I have been on a wine tag kick recently and thought the birthday stamp from See Ya Later would make a great tag..I don't believe it's your Birthday..You Don't Look Any Older Than You Did Last Year..." For the gift card I used One Tag Fits All...
I used my favorite SU! color...Olive Green...for as long it has been available I have had it! I used the Olive Green for the tag and card plus the buttons on the tag...the other green I chose is Mossy Meadow which I used as an embellishment...instead of ink I chose to use Stitched Satin Ribbon...for the stamp I used Close to Cocoa...I like how it ties with the greens...for a little something extra I used two clothes pins from Recollections (from Michael's)...
For the die I used SU! oval die and their 2 and 2 1/2 circle punch, for the bigger circle I used Close to Cocoa card stock...and the wine punch is from Paper Smooches...
I am a CAS kind of gal and I hope that you like my CAS (Clean and Simple) creations for this month's blog...
Thanks for stopping by and please leave a comment...I love to read them!

Thankful for You Note Card ~ Can You Case It # 65

Here is my inspiration for this week's Can You Case It? Challenge

This challenge is right up my alley! I love making clean and simple cards. With spring finally here is Northern Virginia I am picking out fun bright colors. I decided to have fun with this card and use a my treat bag die cut as an envelop instead and to make a note card to put inside of it.  The patterned paper that I pulled out is from Stampin' Up! though unfortunately I can't remember the name of it. I also pulled out one of my favorite Stampin' Up! stamp kits Button Buddies. I love this flower stamp. I use this stamp for all sorts of occasions. I chose Pink Passion ink from Stampin' Up!. I thought that would be a fun color with the patterned paper. For the sentiment I used Stampin' Up! Good Greetings which is another one of my favorite sets. For the flower tag I used Reverse Confetti Tag Me die and for the sentiment I used Stampin' Up! Banners die cut. To tie it all together I used Stampin' Up! Old Olive ribbon and a hot pink clothes pin to clip the tag to the bag.  I like how it all came together. Thanks for stopping by and leave a comment...I love to read them!

OSAT Mothers Day Blog Hop

Hello there and welcome to this month's One Step At a Time Blog Hop! This is my first blog hop and I am super excited to be part of it. I am looking forward to sharing my CAS ~ Clean and Simple cards with you all. The theme for this month is Mothers Day and here is my card that I made...
I wanted to do something fun and a little bit nontraditional for mother's day. After looking at several different stamp sets this one jumped at me. The sentiment is from the Stampin' Up! set Lovely Amazing You. I am a big fan of sentiment stamps and I am always looking to add more to my collection. I have also been on a tag kick lately and used my Paper Smooches Tag Stitched Die cut which I love the faux stitching around the tag. I also wanted to add a bit of color and pulled out some fun paper from BoBunny that I picked up at the ScrapBook Expo last year. The paper is from their Ad Lib Collection. To give it a little extra kick I added the strip paper behind the white card stock. I wanted to use a fun color to help pop out the colors on the striped paper and I chose Stampin' Up! Tempting Turquoise which is one of my favorite colors. To tie everything together I added some green ribbon and a turquoise clothes pin.

The Challenge ~ One Year Anniversary Celebration Part Two

I have decided to add one more card to this week's challenge! This week is my spring break which has given me more time to get crafty in my craft room! This is one of my favorite stamps from Unity Stamp Co. ~ Sent with Care. I love the simplicity of this stamp. For the paper I used Simple Stories I Am... (love the spring colors), and added a bit of pizzaz with my sewing machine...definitely closed my eyes and hoped for the best! I am pleased that my stitching stayed straight! I love adding a touch of sewing to my cards. For the ink I used Stampin' Up! Pear Pizzazz. I added the yellow chevron ribbon to tie all the colors together. I really like how this card turned out.
