Note Cards

My sister awhile back asked me to make her some note cards which I had never made before. The picture below is my first attempt. I cut the card at 4 1/4x11 and then and then in half at 10 1/2...I cut the patterned paper at 4x5. I like using the rubber stamp in the corner with the scalloped punches. I found that rubber stamp at Guadalupe's Fun Rubber Stamps in Santa Fe, New Mexico while visiting my parents. If you are ever in that part of the country I highly recommend going there. They have some really fun stamps and a very nice staff.
I would like to know if any of you have made note cards and what dimensions you used!

Spring Has Sprung...

With Spring like weather we have had in the D.C. Metro area these past few weeks all of the flowers are in bloom around here. With seeing all the beautiful flowers I pulled out my Cricut machine and bright fun colors to make some flower cards...here is the first one that I made...I will be posting more of them...some plain and others on patterned paper like this one!

flip flops...

If the weather is warm enough I will definitely be wearing flip flops! I actually got this idea from one of the many pictures that I mark off whenever I get a chance to look at some of my card making magazines...I found the stamp while visiting my parent's out in New Mexico at Guadalupe's Fun Rubber Stamps store...the stamp is made by Deadbeat Designs...when I saw that one I couldn't pass it up!...the flip flop punch is made by EK Success and the patterned paper is by MME...hip-hooray...had fun doing this one!

Fall on the Brain

As my summer break comes to end and the start of school is on the horizon I always start thinking about fall even though it is still hot and humid in Northern Virginia...I went through my fall stamps and pulled out my set from Recollections...dusted off my colored pencils and hoped that my blender pen worked...it did! And here is what I came up with...found the fun halloween paper at one of my local craft stores...definitely got me in the fall spirit...I forgot about this set and will be using it more now that I have rediscovered it!

A Little Birdie Told Me...

I made this for a friend of mine who recently got engaged...I used Echo Park's Summer Days patterned paper and alphabet stickers...and for the stamp I used the bird for imaginisce Happy Camper Collection...for the ink I used SU! Pumpkin Pie...the inspiration for this card came Cards Magazine...their July issue...I marked off several different ideas that I liked...a great magazine full of ideas!

Another two cards I made with the same paper and markers...the top stamp is from Imaginisce Snag 'Em Stamps Bee and the bottom card I used one of my Unity Stamps - Destination Happiness...
